Today I felt like reviewing some old photos and I found this one from my trip to Cuba in 2006 with my girlfriend. Till now, this is one of the best trips I have ever done in my life. I visited San José, the capital of Costa Rica, La Habana, La Isla de la Juventud and Varadero in Cuba.
I recommend visiting Cuba to anyone, it’s a fantastic place to go. Despite the poverty the country suffers in some areas, Cuba is worth visiting. The city of La Habana is incredible, it has lots of old buildings, some of them are in ruins.People play chess and music in the streets. I think this city is pretty unique in this way.
Besides, the weather in Cuba is great for my taste, it’s always hot and you don’t need to wear warm clothes. Talking about hot weather reminds me of a cool cuban drink: the mojito from the Bodeguita del Medio. The Bodeguita del Medio is a very famous bar in Cuba where they make this deilicious and famous drink.
The photo: I took this one in front of the Museum of the Revolution. When we got out of the museum I saw this city scene with the sign of Fidel Castro and with these two classical cars, which are found all over La Habana.
Some of these classical cars are used as taxis or can be rented for the day, with a driver included, to travel around the city. Luckily, our hotel was in the middle of the city so we didn’t have to spend much money in transportation.
I want to say this again.. if you have the chance to travel to Cuba, do it, you won’t regret it!
