Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla
I decided to go around the city with my latest toy (a 50mm lens) and see how it is to shoot without having a zoom lens.
On one side, it is compact and very light, but on the other I must measure and frame each shot more carefully. Not having the zoom capability forces me to move backward and forward to get the desired perspective.
In this image you can see a bust of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla (1753 – 1811).
This man was a very popular priest and leader of the first period of the Mexican War of Independence (1810 – 1821). Looking for more information about him I found that his name was quite long: “Miguel Gregorio Antonio Ignacio Hidalgo y Costilla y Gallaga Mondarte Villaseñor”.
