A few months ago, my girlfriend and I decided to spend a day somewhere out of town.

I don’t remember who had the idea first, but we decided to go to a town called Tigre, which is located outside the Capital of Buenos Aires. It’s about 40 minutes from the city by car… if you don’t get lost as we did that day… I always get lost when going to new places!

Tigre is situated in the Delta of Parana, where there are lots of small islands. Tigre is a very beautiful and colorful place to visit.

In Tigre you can find several cheap things to buy: souvenirs, ornaments and also furniture. If you are low on budget it’s the right place to go.

After a long walk and lunch, we decided to take a mini tour at the Delta of Parana by boat. Once we paid the ticket and went on board, we saw some interesting things like the Parque de la Costa (an amusement park), some big and fancy houses and also a few modest houses like the one on top of this post.

When we got into the car to return home, a fierce storm started to pour down! Luckily for us, we could reach the car fast and did not get wet at all! You can see in the next image the incoming storm:

You can’t imagine how hot is Buenos Aires these days. This week the temperature has reached almost 40° C! I need a swimming pool right now! :D.

I’ve had this picture for a long time and today I’ve finally decided to upload it.

The subject of this photo is a tree made of glass that I found in my house. I used only a small lamp to lighten it I and also used a black background to enhance the reflections of the glass. It looks pretty good, doesn’t it?

Actually I’m looking for places to go on holiday… so in the summer I will have lots of images from another province of Argentina or maybe another country of South America… it all depends on the available budget…

Today I’m back with a nature photo. If I’m not mistaken, the last one about this topic was the Yellow Flower.

This is another flower that has grown in my garden and is only a few centimeters tall. This isn’t a gorgeous flower but it looks great from a macro perspective.

Cheers!

Puente de la Mujer Bridge by Gabriel Robledo

Puente de la Mujer - Bridge by Gabriel Robledo

A few days ago I went to Puerto Madero to have a walk and take some photos from this beautiful place. I had no luck because the sky went gray and clouded and there wasn’t enough light, so I didn’t get great photos.

Because of the poor light conditions, I decided to take photos to process them later at home and create HDR images.

The photo: a few buildings and the Puente de la Mujer – Bridge (in English: the bridge of the woman) in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. You can find more information on the Wikipedia in this link.

As you may know, I’m not a big fan of the HDR images that look unreal, but this one is an exception. I like it because it looks like a painting and it doesn’t look overprocessed.

Meanwhile, I’m preparing to take my last exams at university, only 2 months are left to complete my studies. I’m also uploading images to Fotolia, iStockPhoto and Dreamstime and also I’m learning about stock photography because I’m still a newbie at this.

Cheers,

I was thinking of which photo to upload when I remembered the photos of Punta Indio. I have so many great photos from that trip that I have the entire set pre-selected to be uploaded.

The photo: I took this one in the same place and in the exact moment of the Panoramic Field with Clouds. I still remeber those great cloud formations, they were really inspiring. In this image I thought that it was a good idea to mix the barbed wire and the clouds in the composition.
